ISU Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix Riga Cup 2025

The ISU Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix Riga Cup 2025 is an international figure-skating competition part of the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit held 20–23 August 2025 at Volvo Sports Centre, Riga. The event featured 4 medal disciplines: Singles (men), Singles (women), Pairs, Ice dance. 84 skaters representing 24 countries took part. Organised by Latvian Skating Association. ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2025/26, Event 1 of 7. Hosted by the Latvian Skating Association at Volvo Sports Centre, Riga. All four junior disciplines competed: men, women, pairs, ice dance. Medalists: Men — Rio Nakata (JPN) gold; Women — Mei Okada (JPN) gold; Pairs — Kemp/Elizarov (CAN) gold; Ice Dance — Veillon/Brandys (CAN) gold.

Junior Men / Women — Short Program: 2 min 40 sec ±10 sec; Free Skating: 3 min 30 sec ±10 sec. Junior Pairs — Short Program: 2 min 40 sec ±10 sec; Free Skating: 3 min 30 sec ±10 sec. Junior Ice Dance — Rhythm Dance: 2 min 50 sec ±10 sec; Free Dance: 3 min 30 sec ±10 sec. Governing rules: ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2024 (Rules 611, 612, 620, 621); Ice Dance 2024 (Rules 709, 710); ISU Communication 2704.

Eligibility

Junior age category per ISU Rule 108 paragraph 3(b). Competitors must represent their ISU Member federation. Skaters from Belarus and Russia subject to ISU Communication 2469 restrictions.

Transport

Nearest airport: Riga International Airport (RIX), 10 km from official hotel (approx. 20–30 min). Organizing Committee provides shuttle bus from airport; small transportation fee applies. Teams must confirm shuttle use at entry.

Accommodation

Official hotel details communicated separately by the Organizing Committee. Hotel reservations must be placed through the ORS system by July 18, 2025. Costs covered: dinner Aug 19 through breakfast Aug 24 for competitors and officials. Airport: Riga International Airport (RIX), approximately 10 km / 20–30 min.

Visa

Latvia is a Schengen Area country. Teams requiring a visa must apply as early as possible. The Organizing Committee provides a visa request support form (contact jgprigacup2025@gmail.com). ISU Members are responsible for obtaining visas for their own delegations.
